A 1-Minute Read or Listen
by Jared Ray

Anointed

Like a beacon may you burn—
long into the quiet night,
piercing the heavy veil of darkness,
to unravel tangled threads of struggle.

May the intensity of your flame
guide those who wander,
calling them to the furthest
edge of becoming.

May you spread, wild as fire
for even a whispered spark
can ignite the driest ember,
rekindling what was lost.

And just as the wind carries the sea—
a briny kiss, may you be, a salt-sweet caress
to season weary hearts
that yearn for hidden shores.

May your presence be savored
in a restless world filled with emptiness,
to restore forgotten flavors,
bringing peace and grace
to all who thirst from their labors.

May you preserve truth,
in times of shifting man,
a steady guide and anchor
in life’s uncertain hands.

And together,
you will set the sky ablaze,
challenging the light of the stars.
