Call to Worship: Once Again Into Our Doors
Song: Build My Life
Worthy of every song we could ever sing
Worthy of all the praise we could ever bring
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for You
Jesus, the Name above every other name
Jesus, the only One who could ever save
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe
We live for You
Holy, there is no one like You
There is none beside You
Open up my eyes in wonder
And show me who You are
And fill me with Your heart
And lead me in Your love to those around me
And I will build my life upon Your love
It is a firm foundation
I will put my trust in You alone
And I will not be shaken
Prayers of the People for a Place
Song: Nothing I Hold Onto
I lean not on my understanding.
My life is in the hands of the Maker of heaven.
I give it all to You, God,
Trusting that You’ll make something beautiful out of me.
And I will climb this mountain with my hands wide open,
I will climb this mountain with my hands wide open.
There’s nothing I hold onto,
There’s nothing I hold onto.
Scripture Readings
Luke 9:1-3, Matthew 10:5-8, 16
“And he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all the demons and to heal diseases. And he sent them out to proclaim the Kingdom of God and to perform healing. And He said to them… ‘Go nowhere among the Gentiles, and enter no town of the Samaritans, but go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. As you go, proclaim the good news, “The kingdom of heaven has come near.” Cure the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, cast out demons. Freely you received, freely give…’ See, I am sending you out…”
Acts 1:6-8
“So when they had come together, they asked him, ‘Lord, is this the time when you will restore the kingdom to Israel?’ He replied, ‘It is not for you to know the times or periods that the Father has set by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.’”

Homily + Practice: And Samaria
Song: One Blood
O God, you have made us
All of one blood
And sent us Your blessed Son
Proclaiming Your kingdom,
Justice and peace
He’s calling to everyone
The far and the near may come
Let the nations of the earth
Seek after You and find you
Let our neighbors see in us Your love
Pour out Your Spirit, Pour out Your Spirit
Pour out Your Spirit upon all people
Hasten the coming, Hasten the coming
Hasten the coming of Your kingdom
Confession & Assurance
Let us confess our sins against God and our neighbor:
Most merciful God, we confess that we have sinned against you
in thought, word, and deed, by what we have done,
and by what we have left undone.
We have not loved you with our whole heart;
we have not loved our neighbors as ourselves.
We are truly sorry and we humbly repent.
For the sake of Your Son Jesus Christ,
have mercy on us and forgive us;
that we may delight in Your will,
and walk in Your ways, to the glory of Your Name.
Amen.
Silent confession (space to confess our sins and wait in God’s presence).
The Lord has already shown you mercy.
The Lord has already had compassion on you.
Jesus strengthens our weak knees
When we still have a long way to go.
Be free!
We are forgiven.
Laugh out loud!
We are forgiven.
Love God with everything!
We are loved.
Silent assurance (space to receive God’s merciful love and say “thank you” in response)
The Great Thanksgiving
The Lord be with you.
And also with you.
Lift up your hearts!
We lift them up to the Lord.
Let us give thanks to the Lord our God.
It is right to give our thanks and praise.
Is the Father with us?
He is.
Is Christ among us?
He is.
Is the Spirit here?
He is.
This is our God.
Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We are his people.
We are redeemed.
Therefore we proclaim the mystery of our faith:
Christ has died. Christ is risen. Christ will come again.
Sacrament of Desire
Jesus welcomes all to a Great Feast. May we meet him there.
