Gardens: A Journey Through Holy Week 2020
Maundy Thursday Gathering: The Garden of Grief
Through music, meditative prayer, and Scriptural reflection, we listen in on Jesus’ final words to his followers in the Upper Room. With the disciples, we breathe in Christ’s Spirit of peace for difficult days. Finally, we travel to Gethsemane, kneeling in the garden of our own grief as we learn to say “thy will be done.”
Good Friday Gathering: The Garden of Loss
For Good Friday, we created space to experientially place ourselves in the midst of Jesus’ final hours, where lament and loss are palpable. How is the lifted up Savior drawing all to himself? And how can the most ugly act in history become a beauty that will save the world?
Holy Saturday: A Guided Meditation
We invite you to find a quiet space, and allow this 15 minute reflection to guide your encounter of Jesus, silent in the tomb, on Holy Saturday.
Easter Sunday: The Garden of Life
Having walked through each step of the Holy Week journey, we know why Easter matters. With our feet firmly rooted in the reality of life’s present pain, we gathered our whole church community to look with hope on the One whose death and life makes all things new.
