A Note from The Parish Vestry
This past Sunday night was memorable. Parish Night provided a rare opportunity to gather most of our church at the same time and place, and it was a gift to celebrate some of the highlights from this past year together (House Churches, community formation, family ministry, and more). All in all, our time was yet another reminder of why we love this community.
Now, three days later, we’re following up with several key financial takeaways and asking for your response:
- Our church has grown about 30% over the past year! This means more than 75 individuals and 25 families are finding community within The Parish than at this time last year.
- However, our budget and month-to-month giving have not kept pace with our growth or growing costs. As the community has grown, our budget, facilities, and staff need to grow proportionately to be sustainable.
- We project an increase of $13,330 per month. This covers operating costs for:
- increased space at the Kalen Center for kids classrooms, a toddler area, prayer and group space, and parking.
- additional space at our church office for pastoral care, classes, groups, and staff work.
- supplies and operational costs for additional House Church locations.
- the full salaries of our new Executive Pastor and Parish Kids Director, as well as additional staff capacity for youth ministry and parish coordination.
- a cleaning crew to ease volunteer strain on our Host Team and honor our facility partnership with the Kalen Center.
- spaciousness for our staff team (who have often needed to work significantly more hours to be present to a larger community without an increase in pay or support).
- Here’s a detailed overview of the financial presentation for those who desire more. (And we’re happy to dig deeper over coffee.)
Here’s our request: Would you prayerfully consider prioritizing The Parish in your spiritual practice of generosity? You can set up or manage your giving here (we encourage ACH giving when possible to minimize transaction fees).
We know there are many places to be generous toward the work of God’s Kingdom, and we see the meaningful ways so many of you show up in our Parish community. However you sense God is leading you around giving, be at peace and know that you are a gift to our church. We need you, and we’re sincerely grateful for your presence. We welcome any questions you may have as we share this community together (you can email us anytime at vestry@parishanglican.org).
With gratitude,

P.S. If you missed Parish Night or would like to revisit it, we encourage you to watch this video recording of the Vestry’s presentation to the church and Jordan’s reflections for the season ahead. (If you prefer, you can also find a video or audio recording of the event in its entirety).
