Daily Office | 5.11.14

We are in the fourth week of Easter, the season in the church calendar in which we celebrate the most central event in the Christian faith – the resurrection of Christ three days after his crucifixion.

This prayer (or Collect) and these scriptures are taken from the Anglican Book of Common Prayer.

O God, whose Son Jesus is the good shepherd of your people: Grant that when we hear his voice we may know him who calls us each by name, and follow where he leads; who, with you and the Holy Spirit, lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
