Why House Churches?

The believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, to the community, to their shared meals, and to their prayers… they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. Acts 2:42-47

What is a House Church?

House Churches are a core part of the way we practice life together. Following the pattern of the early church, we sometimes gather all together for church services and other times meet in one another’s homes for prayer, community, and shared meals. Every 2nd Sunday, we practice this other form of church life together.

As mid-sized expressions of church, House Churches provide ways for the entire community to participate in shaping and creating spaces of worship, and make it easier to know others and be known. In a typical House Church gathering, we pray and practice Jesus’ way together for 15-20 minutes, then share communion and a meal.

Each House Church is a bit unique, with some offering special care and spaces for kids engagement, some emphasizing worship together for the entire family, and some dedicated just for adults.
